ahh the pressure

perhaps the same week that i tried face book, i started to think about reading the twilight series. vampires for teen agers. girls.

couldn’t handle the face book but dove right into the books. almost through the last one. full out trash and I am full out hooked. the fourth book finally has some physical follow through. i am convinced the payoff is better than the face book…

Just before I moved to grad school, I went crazy at a garage sale where a family was selling EVERYTHING in their house. i bought my first tv, a stereo, a stand for all of the electronics, metal patio tables….all for some crazy low price.

when I got home, I cried for hours over the fact that my life no longer could fit neatly into the backseat of my car. i cried about having too much stuff. and maybe not enough freedom. a little loss of sorts.

i have that same feeling all over again when i come across knickknacks.

face book anxiety

So, i joined face book for all of two hours. felt sneaking finding tiny thumbnails of old friends and mean kids that I haven’t thought about in years. then i freaked out–saw more than I wanted to know, thought too much about how information spirals outward into the abyss, deactivated my account, took some flack (Kim!), and then committed to trying out the blog-o-sphere…for a little while. so here it is. my first public post. “leap” in action.
